Awana Registration

Come and join us for our Awana ministry every Wednesday night from 6:45-8:15.  We will study God’s word, play games, eat snacks and have fun being with one another! We have groups for children who are three-4th grade. The cost for attending Awana for the year is 20.00 for the first child and 10.00 for each additional child that attends. This helps to cover the costs for all the necessary materials. Register your kids now at the link below!

Sunday Bible Study Hour 9:15- 10:00 AM: Two electives:

1.) “Why Our World Is As It Is”. We have seen tremendous changes in our world over the past decade. Ironically, Genesis 1-11 (the very beginning of the human race) helps us understand our broken world and the condition of the human heart. In these early chapters, we also see God’s grace and mercy and his unfolding plan of salvation.

2.) Have you ever felt like there are things in your life you would like to change but feel powerless to do so? “How People Change” by Dr. Paul Tripp targets the root of the problem: the human heart. Using the biblical model of the pressure of Heat, this study considers how to avoid producing Thorns. Instead, by absorbing the call of the Cross, we are enabled to produce the Fruit of godliness in our lives. We’d love to have you join with us in either study.

“Listening to Young Atheists: Lessons for a Stronger Christianity” – January

Wednesday, January 19
Wednesday Night Bible Discussion for January (7:00 PM)
“Listening to Young Atheists: Lessons for a Stronger Christianity” (Young Parents, Grandparents and Church Leaders are especially welcome!)
There are numerous young adults who once professed Christianity but now are self-proclaimed atheists. Many are willing to speak openly and honestly about their experience. As we listen as they describe their journey away from Christianity, we can gain valuable insight into keeping the younger generation engaged in their Christian faith. Come and join us on Wednesday nights throughout January as we explore this pertinent and crucial topic. Our goal is to gain valuable insight as parents and as church leaders into action we can take to ground our younger generations in their own faith experience.

Theology & Life Community Group

“What is the “eternal life” that Jesus gives? Knowledge of God. “This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”
(Jn 17:3).” ― J.I. Packer, Knowing God
The study of God is the most excellent study that any person can undergo and knowing Him is the most glorious gift. In this Bible study our goal is to glorify God through the study of His character, all of who He is in Christ to us and to worship Him with our lives and strive to give Him all honor worship that He deserves. Our theology should always lead us to doxology. Knowing God is directly connected to how we live our lives. Often, we want formulas and practical application but ignore or spend little time learning about God’s character, which is how we will actually be humbled before Him and know Him more deeply as Christians. In this study J.I. Packer will lead us through the importance of knowing God and then through how He has revealed Himself to us in scripture. Nothing in this life is more important than to be men and women that fear God and keep His commands with joy.
